If any child has a dream house its always located near a river, with large green fields in the backdrop and large blue skies enveloping it. One could not ask for a better location than this one to design a dream bungalow. We were more than excited to design a bungalow for our client in a premium location of Kolhapur city. The client came from an engineering background. There were no rigid requirements from client’s end. That made us more conscious, understanding their lifestyle and family structure. After going through the exercise we proposed them home with 5 bedrooms, family room, separate dining, living and a big home office at ground floor, with added servant rooms and a space to park 4-6 cars and this space otherwise could be used for small get-together or functions housing almost 50-80 people. Voila! That exactly fitted their needs and it was time to move ahead.

The house was treated with 3 theme slanting walls that held the floorplate together and the top pergola bonded the house well; keeping it humble and well defined at the same time. Consciousness about using rainwater harvesting, using the water for gardening, conscious usage of solar energy to reduce the carbon foot print all was taken care of right from the inception stage for this bungalow. Today the bungalow stands tall, speaking volumes of its aesthetics and green feature in a humble way making the client, “happy owner” of such a beautiful bungalow.
